About YOSA

YOSA changes lives through music. Every year, more than 500 young musicians from across San Antonio come together to make music, build confidence, and find a sense of belonging. Guided by world-class conductors and teaching artists, they discover their voices and their potential—learning skills that extend far beyond the stage.

YOSA removes barriers—financial, social, and geographic—so every young person can experience the joy and discipline of music-making. Inclusion and belonging are central to YOSA’s mission and reflected in the students, families, and staff who bring its work to life.

· Bachelor’s degree/ certifications OR 1–3 years of fundraising, grant writing, or development experience (nonprofit, marketing, or education preferred).

· Exceptional writing and communication skills, with an eye for detail and deadlines.

· Proven success preparing grant proposals, reports and other communication materials.

· Experience with donor databases such as Salesforce, Raiser’s Edge, or similar systems.

· Highly organized, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously.
