Hayes Barton UMC in Raleigh seeks a part-time Director of Contemporary Music who will serve as a worship leader and planner and Band Leader for a popular Sunday morning worship service (9am Sundays and 5 : 30pm Christmas Eve), and work as part of a Creative Arts Team to provide musical and arts opportunities to a multi-generational congregation. • Complies, disseminates, and assigns tasks as dictated from weekly worship plans • Visions the long-term artistic direction for LightHouse Manages all facets of the LightHouse Worship and Youth Praise Bands : • Writes / updates / distributes all charts, lyric sheets and reference recordings in PlanningCenter • Develops and recruits new and existing musicians as vocalists, instrumentalists and worship leaders • Provides individual coaching in technical skill and musicianship for the youth praise band • Schedules / facilitates all rehearsals balancing members’ and church master calendars • Manages all copyright compliance and reporting Instrumental proficiency is preferred.
