Job ResponsibilitiesLead and accompany liturgical music during Masses, sacramental celebrations, and other liturgical events.Work with cantors, choirs, students, and other musicians of varying ages and skill levels to foster collaboration and excellence in the music ministry.Select and organize music for liturgies, incorporating both traditional and contemporary liturgical music.Provide musical training and direction to cantors, choirs, and instrumentalists, ensuring effective preparation for liturgies.Utilize technology and multimedia tools to enhance the musical experience and support liturgical events.Collaborate with other parish staff, particularly clergy, to ensure that music complements the spiritual goals of the parish.Assist with the recruitment and development of musicians within the parish community.Job RequirementsPracticing Catholic with a deep commitment to the Catholic faith.At least three years of ministerial experience in a pastoral setting, specifically in liturgical music ministry.Experience leading and working with cantors, choirs, and musicians of all ages.Proficiency in using technology and multimedia tools for communication and worship enhancement.Ability to work collaboratively with clergy, staff, and parishioners to create an enriching liturgical music experience.Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively.The Archdiocese of St. Louis Catholic Education and Formation is an Equal Opportunity Employer and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any kind.
