DIRECTOR OF ATHLETIC BANDS

The University of Washington Department of Intercollegiate Athletics seeks a Director of Athletic Bands (the Director) to oversee its comprehensive athletic band program. The position involves the supervision of the 240-member Husky Marching Band (the Band), the Purple & Gold Basketball Bands, the Husky Volleyball Band, as well as support of other teams and events within the athletic department throughout the academic year based on a schedule determined by the Department in coordination with the Director. The overall responsibility of this position is for the successful operation of the program in full compliance with all such rules and regulations. As a condition of employment, the Employee shall be required to participate in rules education programs and other required trainings offered by the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics. • Administrative Duties (10%): Manage the budget for the athletic bands, manage the equipment inventory for the band, facilitate travel for band events and athletic competitions.
