The Director of Band Operations is responsible for leading the band staff in teaching an overview of instrumental music elements, styles, techniques, and music literacy to the secondary band and color guard students in 6th-12th grades. Also responsible for leading the staff in providing curricular and extracurricular opportunities to use the learned skills in keeping with the District philosophies, procedures, policies, and programs. • Coordinates with the Director of Fine Arts, the fine arts department chairs, and site principals to meet District curriculum goals and objectives. • All other duties as assigned by the Director of Fine Arts, the Assistant Superintendent or the Superintendent. Demonstrating strong communication skills, orally and in writing, with faculty, staff, team members, and administrators.
