The Director of Band Operations is responsible for leading the band staff in teaching an overview of instrumental music elements, styles, techniques, and music literacy to the secondary band and color guard students in 6th-12th grades. • Leads the certified band staff, assistants, adjunct staff, contractors, and students in maintaining a world-class instrumental music program. • Organizes the band and color guard program for assigned buildings. • Maintains working knowledge of OSSAA, OBA, WGI, and BOA rules and regulations. • Bachelor’s degree in education-related discipline, preferably in music education.
