• *Director of Bands, Assistant Professor of Music Education Position** The School of Music at Lee University invites applications for a full-time tenure-track faculty position to begin in August 2024. The ideal candidate will be passionate about students' growth, exploration, and achievement in music through various experiences. Duties: • Conduct the Wind Ensemble • Schedule recruitment and enrichment performance opportunities throughout the year • Coordinate and give direction to instrumental music education • Teach introductory and upper-division courses in instrumental music education • Develop and maintain an active recruitment strategy for instrumental music • Supervise student teachers • Mentor students • Work cooperatively with faculty and staff across campus Qualifications: • Evidence of successful public-school teaching • Advanced degree in music education • Doctorate in music education or closely related field preferred • Proven background in program administration and team leadership • Christian commitment • Ability to integrate elements of the Christian faith into course instruction
