Director of Contemporary Music

Hayes Barton United Methodist Church in Raleigh seeks a part-time Director of Contemporary Music to serve as a worship leader and planner, and Band Leader for a popular Sunday morning worship service (9am Sundays and 5:30pm Christmas Eve), collaborating with the Creative Arts Team to provide musical and arts opportunities to a diverse congregation. Key Responsibilities The Director of Contemporary Music will coordinate the LightHouse Worship Service Planning Team: • Assist in planning the order for weekly worship in a team environment, consulting with the presiding pastor. • Comply, disseminate, and assign tasks as dictated from weekly worship plans. The Director will also manage all facets of the LightHouse Worship and Youth Praise Bands: • Write, update, and distribute charts, lyric sheets, and reference recordings in PlanningCenter.
