Director of Music

Direct all regular and special services of the church as requested by the Pastor & Head of Staff, following with the policies and practices of IPC. c. Select appropriate service music for the choirs at the church and provide music in a timely manner to the Organist when accompaniment is needed. p. The Director of Music, along with the Organist and Session, shall be consulted if a request is made for someone outside the church to play the organ, piano, or any other church instrument. The Director of Music (DoM) works cooperatively with the pastoral staff and Worship Committee in planning music for the services of worship. c. The DoM will consult with the Pastor and Organist on a regular basis to ensure that the anthem, hymns, and other music reinforce the liturgical message planned.
