Director of Music

As Director of Music, you will be responsible for planning all aspects of music for the church choir, providing organ or piano accompaniment, and recruiting new members. The duties and responsibilities associated with this position include: • Planning music, procuring sufficient music copies as needed for choir and congregation. • Conducting rehearsals and liturgy services as designated for assigned choir activities; arranging for a substitute when necessary. • Working with other staff members in planning for special rites/music in liturgies relevant to their work, as necessary. • Providing prelude music prior to liturgies and being available before hand for consultation.
