Director of Music

Position Summary The Director of Music is a part-time position (10/15 hours per week) that is responsible for planning, coordinating, and leading the music ministry of Folly Beach Baptist Church in a way that supports and enhances the overall mission and worship of the church. This includes leading congregational singing, directing the choir and/or worship ensembles, and working with the pastor to plan Christ-centered, gospel-focused worship services that are both reverent and engaging. Coordinate and lead rehearsals for any choirs, vocal teams, or instrumentalists. If the church pianist or music director will be absent from a given worship service, the Director of Music shall be responsible for a replacement for the pianist or himself. Worship Planning Collaborate with the Senior Pastor to plan weekly worship services that support the sermon theme and church calendar.
