Director of Music

Company Description: Christ United Fellowship Orlando is a growing church community in Orlando, FL, committed to Christ-centered worship, biblical teaching, and meaningful fellowship. We sing a mix of gospel, modern, and classical hymns, contemporary songs with rich theological content, and traditional hymns. This role oversees all musical aspects of worship services, including selecting songs, planning musical elements in coordination with pastoral staff, and ensuring that music aligns with the church’s theological and worship priorities. Administrative duties such as maintaining music resources, communicating plans to the worship team, and collaborating on long-term worship planning are also part of the role. Strong foundation in Music Theory and general Music knowledge applicable to congregational worship.Experience in Music Education, including coaching, training, or mentoring vocalists and instrumentalists.Skills in Music Production, such as arranging, basic recording or sound coordination, and working with audio teams.Background in Church Music, with understanding of liturgical flow, congregational singing, and Christ-centered worship practices.Proficiency on at least one primary instrument (e.g., piano, guitar, or other suitable instrument) for leading worship.Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with pastors, staff, and volunteers, and to lead teams with humility and clarity.Strong organizational and communication skills, including planning rehearsals, managing schedules, and providing clear direction.Prior experience leading worship or directing church music programs is preferred; formal music training or related degree is beneficial.
