The candidate shall have a Minimum of three (3) years of experience directing music programs and serving as an accompanist in a church, chapel, or similar environment. The candidate shall have Proven ability to select, arrange, and direct music for various services, ceremonies, and special events in accordance with liturgical seasons and traditions. Specifically, using the chapel equipment, the contractor shall provide the following: Musical direction for both Protestant and Roman Catholic worship servicesAccompaniment for the rendition of music required during worship services. Additional music presented by the contractor shall be based on compositions appropriate to the Church and appropriate for the broad spectrum of the faith group attending worship servicesInformation to the CRP Leading Petty Officer in a timely manner of any needed repair and improvements of the government owned piano, keyboards, and related equipment in the ChapelCoordination and consultation with the officiating chaplain or CRMP concerning the selection of all choral selections, choruses, hymns, and other music utilized in the worship serviceTimely accomplishment of necessary administrative tasks, including:Information to CRP personnel for worship service programs/bulletins Assist the RMT with planning for the musical support of the CRP worship services, including written requests for securing musical equipment, musical scores, supplies, and other required material to the chapel office Submission of all required contract documentationUpon consultation with the Command Chaplain, secure an adequate substitute for vacation periods, illness, inclement weather and /or emergency leave and when otherwise necessary.
