Director of Music Ministry

The Director of Music Ministry will work closely with the Pastor and parish staff to cultivate a prayerful and excellent liturgical music program while mentoring choir members, cantors, and instrumentalists in their service to the Church. Holy Spirit Catholic Church is seeking a spirit filled Director of Music Ministry, who can lead the congregation in worship, and who helps and allows others to also develop their musical gifts. This role is responsible for the planning, coordination and implementation of a comprehensive music program to facilitate the full and active participation of the congregation in the Catholic liturgical life of the parish. Select and prepare musical accompaniments and worship aids for all liturgies and services, assist and support local community-based activities that utilize parish music equipment and/or facilities, and choose, maintain and update music licenses as appropriate. Proven ability to and willingness to seamlessly move choir and parishioners from traditional to contemporary musical liturgies.
