Worship Music Leadership, coordinating music for worship services, special festivals, VBS, and preschool activities, collaborating with pastors in music selection appropriate to the liturgical calendar and worship themes, while supporting traditional and contemporary worship settings. Direct and rehearse choirs, vocalists, instrumentalists, and worship ensembles, while recruiting, encouraging, and mentoring volunteer congregational musicians and vocalists for participation and growth in the congregation’s music mininstry. Keyboard proficiency preferred along with familiarity with liturgical worship.
Music Program Administration, maintaining musician schedules, music resources and library materials, preparing budgeting recommendations, overseeing instrument maintenance, and coordinating music information for bulletins and worship materials.
Staff and Leadership Participation, participating in staff meetings and collaborating with church leadership regarding worship and music ministry planning, while displaying a heart for congregational ministry and showing strong relational and communication skills among varying ages and talent levels .
