This is a part-time position in the Melrose office. This position will work closely with the director of liturgy. - Plan and direct music for various Masses - Conduct rehearsals and provide guidance to choir members and musicians - Collaborate with director of liturgy to ensure a cohesive and high-quality experience - Mentor and educate musicians, helping them develop their skills and musicality - Lead with confidence and professionalism - Communicate effectively with musicians, staff, and other stakeholders - Strong leadership abilities to guide and inspire musicians - Excellent communication skills to effectively convey musical ideas and instructions - In-depth knowledge of music theory, composition, and different musical styles - Proficient in conducting techniques and score reading - Ability to collaborate with priests, staff, choir members, and parishioners
