Director of Music Ministries

The Director of Music Ministries is a spiritual and organizational leader who oversees the music programs of Vancouver First UMC. This includes but is not limited to leading our community worship; implementation of the church’s vision, mission, and strategy in the worship area; working with the senior pastor to craft themes and ensure an intentional flow through elements of the worship experience; training and nurturing team members while working with various groups throughout the church to use music for worship; ensuring worship is led in such a way that the congregation has an opportunity for an authentic encounter with God’s presence. * Experience in leading worship, vocalists, and musicians. RESPONSIBILITIES * Develop a vision with the Senior Pastor for the music ministries at Vancouver First UMC. * Bring in guest musicians from within the church or outside the church community.
