Director of Music Ministry - Unity of Austin

The Music Ministry Director reports to the Senior Minister and works effectively with the Senior Minister to ensure that the Music Ministry is aligned with Unity principles and with the church Vision, Mission, and Values. Unity of Austin’s Music Ministry Program Vision and Mission - Music at Unity of Austin vibrates with Christ Consciousness—the love and joy of Spirit uplifting, stirring, healing, and flowing through this ministry, all who participate in it, and into the greater Austin and Unity community! Unity of Austin’s Music Ministry Program includes but is not limited to: • Music for Sunday and Special Holiday Services - Music for Sunday and Special Holiday Services expresses uplifted spiritual consciousness, is excellent in the quality of musical selections, utilizing selections from the vast library of contemporary New Thought music as well as other compatibly themed music from a variety of genres. • Engagement of the Congregation - Congregation members are encouraged and supported to participate in the Music Ministry, both in congregational singing at Services and as Volunteers in making music for the Services and/or other church events. These foster in the participants a love of music and an experience of it as a spiritual experience.
