Job Details The Director of Music Pianist will lead worship services and provide musical direction for both Protestant and Roman Catholic services. They will also be responsible for accompaniment, coordination, and consultation with the officiating chaplain or CRMP. Main Responsibilities: • Provide musical direction for worship services • Accompany music renditions during worship services • Coordinate and consult with the officiating chaplain on choral selections and other music used in worship services • Assist the RMT with planning and securing musical equipment and supplies Requirements: • Be a musician with requisite skills as a pianist • Have experience leading religious worship services • Be able to sight read music and direct other musicians and vocalists • Have a working understanding of Navy organization and pluralistic ministry requirements • Be neat, clean, well-groomed, and have a positive personality when interfacing with chapel staff and others This is a part-time position with compensation based on budget and the successful candidate's experience and qualifications.
