Job Summary

Responsibilities

Perform drum parts for religious services, concerts, and special events, ensuring timely and accurate execution of musical arrangements
Collaborate with choir directors, organists, pianists, and other musicians to harmonize melodies and develop cohesive performances
Contribute to musical improvisation and composition efforts to enrich live performances
Assist in music selection by providing input on rhythm arrangements suitable for different genres and settings
Maintain and tune drums and percussion instruments regularly to ensure optimal sound quality
Support acoustic treatment efforts by advising on sound setup to enhance audio clarity during performances

Requirements

Proven experience in religious music performance, concert music, or theater settings demonstrating versatility across genres
Strong knowledge of musical liturgical traditions and hymn music styles
Proficiency in playing drums along with other instruments such as guitar, piano, or organ is highly desirable
Familiarity with digital audio workstation (DAW) software for recording or editing performances
Ability to read sheet music fluently and understand musical improvisation techniques
Experience in harmonizing melodies and blending multiple music genres seamlessly
Knowledge of acoustic treatment principles to optimize sound environments in performance spaces
Previous experience with music selection, arrangement, or composition is a plus

Pay: $50.00 - $60.00 per hour
