Early Childhood Music Program Director – Little Wing & Rookies

School of Rock Naples is looking for an energetic, patient and dependable educator to lead our Little Wing and Rookies early childhood music programs. Lead engaging weekly Little Wing and Rookies group classesFollow School of Rock’s established curriculum and lesson materialsCreate a fun, structured and encouraging classroom environmentUse games, movement, singing and hands-on activities to keep young students involvedIntroduce students to basic rhythm, listening and musical conceptsHelp Rookies students safely explore multiple instrumentsAdjust activities based on students’ ages, personalities and developmental needsManage transitions, attention spans and classroom behavior in a positive wayLearn each student’s personality, strengths and areas where they may need additional supportCommunicate regularly and professionally with parentsProvide parents and school leadership with updates about student participation and progressPrepare classrooms, instruments and materials before each classKeep teaching spaces organized, clean and safeWork with the school’s management team to grow and strengthen both programsHelp create a welcoming first experience for families entering School of RockWhat We Are Looking For Genuinely enjoys working with children between the ages of 4 and 7Has experience in early childhood education, elementary education, preschool, childcare, children’s programs, camps, recreation, theater, dance or a similar settingUnderstands how to communicate with young children in a patient and encouraging wayCan confidently lead a group and maintain a positive classroom structureIs enthusiastic, expressive and comfortable being playful and animatedIs dependable, organized and preparedCommunicates professionally with parents and coworkersIs comfortable learning and following an established curriculumIs open to coaching, training and ongoing developmentCan create an inclusive environment for children with different personalities, learning styles and experience levelsMusic Experience Some experience singing, keeping a steady rhythm or playing a musical instrument is helpful, but we are willing to train the right educator in the School of Rock curriculum and the basic musical skills needed to lead these classes. A successful Little Wing and Rookies Director does not simply teach children about music.
