Key Responsibilities "> The Financial Aid Officer will be responsible for processing and managing various financial aid programs, including Federal Direct Loans, Federal Pell Grants, and State of California Grant programs. This individual will provide exceptional customer service to students and families, answering questions and resolving issues related to financial aid. They will also monitor student Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) for financial aid recipients, communicating with students regarding their SAP statuses. Additional responsibilities include: • Processing verification requests for selected Title IV applicants • Awarding Federal Title IV aid to eligible students • Monitoring daily COD rejects, resolving processing errors to ensure monthly reconciliation of Federal Direct and Pell Grant programs • Staying up-to-date with Federal and State regulations through regular attendance at conferences and webinars • Coordinating the posting of financial aid with the Billing Office • Collaborating with Billing Office staff to ensure timely delivery of funds to students
