As L.A.'s premier performing arts destination, The Music Center convenes artists, communities and ideas with the goal of deepening the cultural lives of every resident in Los Angeles County. The non-profit performing arts organization with an annual budget of $80 million has three divisions: TMC Arts, TMC Ops and TMC Business Services. This is an event-driven, on-call role with schedules based on operational needs, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays. Assist with setup and breakdown of event spaces, including staging, seating, dance floors, stanchions, and furniture Support technical and operational needs such as fountain plugs, marketing/poster installation (“three sheets”), and seating resets Transport equipment and supplies across campus as needed Perform fire watch roaming responsibilities when assigned Operate basic operations equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and electric carts (with appropriate training) Follow all OSHA and workplace safety guidelines to maintain a safe work environment Communicate clearly and promptly with supervisors and team members; escalate issues when necessary Contribute to a safe, welcoming, and positive guest experience for all patrons and artists Perform additional duties as assigned based on event and operational needs Strong teamwork skills with the ability to take direction and adapt to changing event needs Ability to follow established workplace conduct, safety and operational protocols.
