Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Arts Management, Music, or Liberal Arts; master’s degree in a related field preferred; doctorate a bonus7+ years of experience in a senior leadership role in business or non-profit sector, preferably in the arts or music educationExcellent written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking and media relationsEffective relationship development skills and ability to engage and interact with a wide variety of people from a wide variety of backgrounds, including students and parents, faculty, donors, and board members.Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) and core business software (e.g., Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace).Demonstrated experience in the effective leadership in strategic planning, curriculum development, operations, and fundraising.Demonstrated commitment to accessible music education and student enrichment in a diverse community setting, aligning with CMS’s mission and values.
