Job Overview "> The Financial Aid Officer plays a vital role in ensuring the success of students by providing support and guidance throughout their academic journey. As a key member of the Financial Aid team, this individual will be responsible for processing Federal Direct Loans, Federal Pell Grants, and State of California Grant programs. This position requires strong background and experience in Education/Financial Aid, as well as excellent customer service skills. Key Responsibilities: • Process verification requests for selected Title IV applicants • Provide exceptional customer service to all applicants and their families • Award Federal Title IV aid to eligible students • Monitor daily COD rejects, resolving processing errors to ensure monthly reconciliation of Federal Direct and Pell Grant programs • Stay up-to-date with Federal and State regulations through regular attendance at conferences and webinars • Coordinate the posting of financial aid with the Billing Office • Collaborate with Billing Office staff to ensure timely delivery of funds to students • Monitor student Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) for financial aid recipients • Communicate with students regarding their SAP statuses • Maintain compliance with Federal and State regulations • Meet with students to resolve funding questions or related issues
