Join a dynamic team as a Freelance Event Producer and Promoter! In this exciting hybrid role, we are looking for passionate individuals to represent our brand and foster community engagement. At Sofar, we believe live music should be magical, and we are committed to bringing this magic to audiences worldwide through unique, curated performances.

Founded in a London flat in 2009, Sofar has transformed the live music scene, providing a platform for emerging artists and unforgettable experiences. Our events are held in diverse, intimate venues, including private homes, gardens, and public spaces. We empower artists to connect with their audience and provide fans with memorable performances.

The RoleAs a Freelance Event Producer, you will play a crucial role in shaping the local cultural scene. Collaboration and creativity are essential as you work closely with your peers and local community to create engaging pop-up experiences. Your responsibilities will include:

Strengthening Sofar's brand presence in your area through innovative marketing strategies.Developing and executing a vision for the frequency and themes of local shows.Curating and booking high-quality artists and venues for an exceptional experience.Overseeing event quality and staffing to ensure every show is extraordinary.Managing the financial aspects of events to guarantee profitability and success.Building partnerships with local businesses for sponsorship and private events.Engaging with community organizations to co-promote shows and expand our reach.Collaborating with other local leaders to enhance the cultural landscape and raise brand awareness.Who You AreYou are deeply connected to your local music scene and community. You possess:

3-5 years of experience in live event production, curation, and promotion.A track record of securing event sponsorships and marketing partnerships.Excellent networking skills with a strong understanding of local populations and interests.The ability to pitch compelling ideas to sponsors and close deals.Strong relationship-building capabilities with community organizations and businesses.A results-oriented mindset, focused on maximizing ticket sales and brand visibility.Exceptional time management and communication skills.A self-driven approach while valuing connection to the broader organization.Compensation is commission-based, varying between $100 and $5,000 a month based on ticket sales and event performance, with earning potential of $100-$500+ per show. Flexibility in your schedule is essential, as most events occur during evenings and weekends.
