As a Freelance Local Producer, you will become part of a global network of innovative community builders and tastemakers, collaborating with peers from around the world while influencing the cultural scene in your city. Enhance Sofar's brand presence in your local community through innovative marketing strategies and ticket sales.Develop and execute a strategic vision for the number of monthly shows, targeted neighborhoods, and unique show themes.Lead the curation and booking of high-quality, diverse artists and venues, expanding networks as necessary.Oversee the staff and uphold the quality of shows, ensuring exceptional experiences rooted in hospitality.Manage the financial performance of your events, ensuring each show's success and health.Forge relationships with local businesses to boost sales of sponsorships and private events.Cultivate partnerships with local organizations to foster community engagement and co-promote shows.Collaborate with other local leaders to enrich your city with diverse experiences that generate excitement and awareness for Sofar.Support Sofar's Business Partnerships and Global Communities teams by ensuring top-tier event curation and execution for incoming partnership opportunities.Who You Are You have strong connections within your local scene and actively participate in building community.You possess 3-5 years of experience in live event curation, production, and promotions.You have a proven background in selling event sponsorships or marketing activations, preferably in the live events or experiential marketing sector.You are adept at pitching ideas and event concepts to prospective sponsors and have successfully closed partnership deals.You have an excellent understanding of your city, including its neighborhoods and leisure activities.You are a natural networker, excelling in relationship-building with organizations, media partners, and local businesses that contribute to strategic and financial growth.You know how to promote and forge alliances that increase ticket sales at our shows.You take pride in your work and approach each opportunity with professionalism and ownership, ensuring the best experience for artists, venues, partners, and guests.You possess exceptional time management skills and are an effective communicator.You are capable of working independently while recognizing the importance of staying connected with the larger organization.The compensation for this role ranges from $100 to $5,000 per month, with Producers earning commission-based pay on a per-show basis.
