Furnace Record Pressing: Available Positions

The Listening QC inspector makes sure the audio quality of the records that are being pressed are up to standard. Some things they'll do in this position (aka responsibilities): -Confirm that the weight, color and format of each record matches the order specifications -Verify that the label copy and side match the catalog number / side scribed on record -Listen for audio quality, surface noise, ticks, and pops -Maintain logs and related digital documentation of work Some things they’ll need in this position (aka requirements): -The ability to listen for mistakes, not for music -Attention to detail Listening inspector traits: -Learns fast -Attention to detail (so important we’re saying it again) -Understands urgency -Good communicator -Good ears (must be able to pick up on small imperfections) -Likes being part of a team who works hard, respects their work and their co-workers Press Operator - Full time (M-F, Night Shift Only) and Part Time (Sa&S;) available: Our press operators are the heart and soul of our operations! -Keep pressing station stocked with needed supplies -Setup and changeover jobs in the pressing room -Follow instructions, follow schedules, keep press running -Provide basic maintenance on presses -Willing to work occasional late and weekend shifts to meet production deadlines -Maintain and improve workspaces for safety, efficiency, and LEAN Some things they’ll need in this position: -Mechanical work experience in a repair or manufacturing environment ideal -Comfortable around (heavy duty) machines and an eagerness to master them is essential Ideal Press Operating Applicant: -Learns quickly -Thinks critically and enjoys problem solving -Has a keen eye for detail. Some of their job duties entail: -Get job details from the Customer Service team and book into Freight Quote -Print BOL’s and coordinate with Shipping Manager and Inventory Clerk -Enter tracking into our database system, FileMaker -Send daily packing slips for trucks and small parcels to the Customer Service team, and potentially customers -Point of contact between Furnace and FedEx, creating labels for FedEx small parcels and making sure FedEx is picked up daily. Some things they’ll need in this position: -Good customer service skills -Has a couple of years in a shipping/receiving position -The ability to push, pull and carry up to 50 lbs -The ability to operate a PC/MAC, hand truck and pallet jack -Consistent and reliable means of transportation All applicants must be vaccinated for Covid-19 and willing to use a face- scanning time clock to record their hours to be considered.
