Duties: Plan, direct, and lead music for Gospel worship services, ensuring a dynamic and spiritually enriching experienceSelect and prepare appropriate Gospel music, incorporating both traditional and contemporary stylesLead choir rehearsals and coordinate musical arrangements for Sunday services and special eventsRecruit, train, and mentor choir members and musicians, fostering a strong and cohesive worship teamPlay an instrument (keyboard, piano, or organ) as needed to support choir and congregational singingEnsure music selections align with the worship service theme and receive approval from the ChaplainProvide musical leadership for special services such as Christmas, Easter, Holy Days, and other Gospel worship celebrationsEnsure the proper care and use of chapel musical instruments and sound equipment Requirements: Minimum of two years of experience in Gospel music ministry, choral direction, or a related fieldStrong knowledge of Gospel music styles, traditions, and church worship practicesAbility to read or sight-read music and lead both choral and congregational singingExperience leading a choir, recruiting and training vocalists and musiciansProficiency in playing an instrument commonly used in Gospel music (piano, keyboard, or organ) Powered by JazzHR
