Position: Grant Writer (Commission-based) Grant Writer – Austin Texas Musicians (ATXM) Austin Texas Musicians (ATXM) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to improving the lives, careers, and economic stability of Central Texas musicians. Through advocacy, education, and economic development programs, we work to ensure that the people who make our city’s soundtrack can afford to live, work, and thrive in the Live Music Capital of the World. What You’ll Do • Identify new grant opportunities from foundations, corporations, government agencies, and arts organizations • Write winning LOIs, proposals, and reports aligned with ATXM’s goals • Develop compelling storytelling that communicates ATXM’s impact on musicians and the Austin community • Manage grant calendars, deadlines, and submission requirements • Track awarded grants and oversee deliverables • Collaborate with ATXM leadership on program framing, budgets, and reporting materials • Proven grant writing experience , preferably in arts, culture, or music‑focused nonprofits • Strong understanding of musician needs, creative workforce issues, and the Austin music ecosystem • Excellent research, writing, and communication skills • Ability to translate data, outcomes, and stories into powerful proposals • Passion for supporting working musicians and strengthening Austin’s cultural economy Benefits • Be part of a fast‑growing nonprofit making real, measurable impact • Help shape the future of Austin’s music industry • Work directly with a driven, community‑focused leadership team • Flexible work schedule — remote/hybrid options available • Opportunity to help build long‑term sustainability for 6,000+ Central Texas musicians How to Apply
