Group Instructor - Piano

Looking instructors to fulfill an open spot or 2 at our studio for private and group lessons. We are actively accepting applications for Instructors in Piano. Preferably one who is actively playing/gigging around the Pittsburgh area currently who has a passion for teaching!

*We are looking to hire someone to teach on a Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday evening, OR Saturday morning/afternoon.

*Piano - Prefer someone who has 10 years of piano experience who is actively playing OR someone with at least a Bachelor's Degree in Music.

Our studio offers lessons to ALL ages - starting as young as 5 or 6 years old for Piano if the student is able to learn on an instrument of appropriate size. Voice students can start around 7/8 years old and older. We also have lessons for Adult students as well.

Requirements -

Hold a Bachelors Degree or Higher in Music

Advanced Piano Technique (General Music Theory, Scales, Arpeggios, Chords ... etc)

Passionate about training up the next generation of Musicians

Reliable transportation to/from studio

Available to commit to ONE day of teaching with the possibly extend to additional days of teaching.

Ability to teach in a 1:1 setting as well as a group setting if an opportunity should arise

Good sense of Humor (We like Punny Folks around Here)

Easy going personality who is also organized

Punctuality and Communication is a must!

Able to use an internet based software on phone/computer/tablet to enter in attendance and schedule for record purposes (Opus1.io)

Is comfortable teaching on a Digital Piano for in person lessons at the studio (OR Online lessons via FaceTime, Google Meet Or Zoom if requested by student due to sickness or prior arrangement)

This is a W2 Part-Time Employee Position

All candidates will need to obtain OR already have ALL PA teaching clearances prior to being hired and placed on the schedule to Instruct:

Act 34 - PA Criminal History Report
Act 151 - PA Child Abuse Clearance
FBI Criminal History Report (Fingerprinting)
