Guitar and Orchestral String Repair Technician

We are currently seeking a Full-Time Fretted & Orchestral String Instrument Repair Technician to join our Repair team. Your foundation in fretted instrument repair will be a great jumping‑off point for learning orchestral string repair, and we're committed to providing comprehensive on‑the‑job training to help you master violin, viola, cello, and bass repair techniques. Inspect, repair, and maintain all string instruments in our rental fleet, as well as customer repairs, while meeting industry and company standards for quality and productivity Support our daily operations, such as estimates, parts inventory, and rental return wipe‑ups Work as a team to ensure everyone is trained and develop your own skills Complete extensive training in orchestral string instrument repair (for guitar technicians transitioning to orchestral strings) Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance department efficiency and workflow and assist with implementation of new policies and procedures Formal musical instrument repair experience and/or education is REQUIRED. Formal orchestral string instrument repair experience or training a plus Completed 2+ year degree or program in a music repair‑related field – for example: guitar repair, string repair, or luthier apprenticeship Management experience and/or leadership skills Experience with Microsoft Office a plus
