Job Description
Do you bring out the star in your students? Our motto at Taylor Robinson Music is "Learn to Play From the Heart" and we are hiring private music instructors—especially for guitar—to deliver lessons in students' homes, in your own home or studio, or via webcam. Most students prefer in‑person lessons, so local instructors who can travel within the Charleston area are preferred.
As an independent contractor, you will earn $20‑$30 per hour, with pay adjusted for travel time, experience, education, and student retention. You may set your own schedule and curriculum, while we handle advertising, marketing, SEO, and billing.
You should be great with kids, organized, punctual, and communicative. Formal music training is not mandatory, but you must have a degree in music, be enrolled in a music program, have professional performance experience, or have previous teaching experience.
Standard COVID‑19 precautions apply: wear a mask, sanitize hands, and practice social distancing when appropriate.
