M&M Music is seeking a skilled, formally trained guitar instructor to join our faculty. We're a growing private music academy in the South Hills of Pittsburgh, and we hold our teaching staff to a high standard — because our students deserve it.

Who We're Looking For

The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in music theory, technique, and pedagogy built through formal study, not just personal playing experience. You're comfortable in front of students of all ages and skill levels, and you can teach across multiple styles — rock, pop, jazz, blues, classical — with real fluency in each.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Music Performance, Music Education, or a related field strongly preferred — applicants without a degree should have equivalent demonstrable formal training and professional teaching experienceProven experience teaching private lessons to students ranging from beginners to advanced players of all agesAbility to teach across multiple genres with genuine stylistic commandFamiliarity with structured method books and progressive curricula (e.g., Hal Leonard, Alfred, Berklee Press, etc.)Reliable, professional, and student-centered — punctuality and communication matter hereWhat M&M Music Offers
