Guitar Sales Associate (Part-Time: Sundays & Mondays)

Attention all enthusiastic, motivated music lovers!

Strait Music Company is looking for an experienced, part-time Sales Associate to join our Guitar Team at our South Austin location (3201 Bee Caves Rd, Austin, TX 78746). This role is specifically for part-time availability - Sundays (12pm-5pm) and Mondays (10am-7pm).

About the Position

Our sales associates are the face of Strait Music, helping musicians of every skill level find the gear and support they need to keep making music.

In the Guitar & Pro Audio Department, you’ll assist everyone from first-time players to seasoned pros with acoustic, electric, and bass guitars, as well as drums, hand percussion, and fretted folk instruments like mandolins and ukuleles. You’ll also guide customers through our wide selection of amps, effects pedals, and pro audio gear.

We serve as trusted gear advisors, so hands-on playing experience and a solid understanding of musical equipment are required. You don’t need to be an expert in everything, but you should be comfortable talking gear and helping customers explore options. Prior retail or sales experience is a strong plus.
