Description: Job Summary:The Musical Pit Band Director has these among other duties and responsibilities: 1.Direct Pit Orchestra for rehearsals and performances 2.Score study (preparation) 10 hours 3.Transpose / arrange parts for student musicians 8 hours 4.Submit professional musician needs and budget to Musical Director and Associate Principal overseeing non-athletic co-curricular activities 5.Rehearse and assist musicians with the music prior to full-cast rehearsals 30 hours 6.Ensure preparedness of pit orchestra prior to full-cast rehearsals 4 hours 7.Conduct evening rehearsals with the entire pit orchestra as scheduled by Musical Director (Sitzprobe) 3 hours 8.Rehearse with the full cast during the entire production week schedule and on the Saturday before performance dates 14 hours 9.Live performance 12 hours 10.
