Wisconsin Conservatory of Music is pleased to be adding a brand-new position to its Operations Team. The Payroll/HR Generalist assists in all Human Resource functions at the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music supporting the daily operations of the HR department. Working with the Operations team and vendors this position will provide exceptional support and build trust and confidence between the Conservatory and its employees. Process of Conservatory’s monthly and semi-monthly payroll including compiling payroll data, preparing paychecks, and managing deductions.
Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee inquiries.
Manage benefits enrollment and processing including, health, dental, vision, life, short-term, long-term disability, parental leave, and an employee assistance program.
Handle unemployment claims.
Set up HR systems to manage processes including hiring, orientation, continued employment, evaluation, and termination.
Participate in hiring process as appropriate.
The Wisconsin Conservatory of Music is the largest non-profit community music school in the state. Founded in 1899, the Conservatory provides musical experiences to students from age four months through senior citizen, to all levels of abilities, working to develop creative, artistic, and whole individuals. The Conservatory annually reaches over 17,000 individuals across southeast Wisconsin through individual lessons class, and our community music education program Conservatory Connections. Many of these students would not have music instruction without Conservatory faculty serving in this position.
