Internship Program

The Orlando Youth Chamber Ensembles (OYCE) is a nonprofit arts organization based in Greater Orlando/Central Florida that provides supplemental music education and performance opportunities to young musicians. Interns must be available to work in person at rehearsals, concerts, and events in the Greater Orlando area. The Administrative Intern position at OYCE provides hands‑on experience in nonprofit arts management, supporting programs and events that foster youth music education and community engagement. Attend all rehearsals of your applied instrument Assist in the setup and tear‑down of the rehearsal location Participate in recruiting events Sit in and perform with our ensembles Assist in the running of rehearsals Hold smaller sectionals and individual instruction if needed Pass out music before and/or during rehearsals Attend community outreach (i.e., school sectionals, instrument tryouts, solo and ensemble prep) Attend all of our concerts and assist in the logistical aspects of the concert High School Diploma (or higher); additional qualifications as such as Honor Band selections (i.e., All‑State, All‑County) will be a plus Be studying music, or have equivalent performance experience Working knowledge of office equipment, like printers and fax machines Attention to detail and problem‑solving skills Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask
