Itinerant STEM Teacher/Music Teacher (1/2 day at BES STEM and 1/2 day at RES Music)

**Job Title:** Itinerant STEM Teacher (Music Focus at RES and STEM Focus at BES)

**Location:** Ramage Elementary School & Brookview Elementary School

**Reports To:** Building Principals

**Employment Term:** 200-Day Contract, Full-Time

**Job Summary:**
The STEM Teacher provides engaging, standards-based instruction in both music and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) to elementary students. This position requires travel between Ramage Elementary and Brookview Elementary Schools and focuses on fostering creativity, critical thinking, problem-solving, and innovation through hands-on and interdisciplinary learning experiences.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities:**

* Plan and deliver developmentally appropriate lessons aligned to state standards in both music and STEAM content areas
* Foster creativity and self-expression through various art mediums and techniques
* Design and implement STEM lessons that promote inquiry, collaboration, and real-world problem-solving
* Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners
* Assess student progress and maintain accurate records of student performance
* Create and maintain a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment
* Collaborate with classroom teachers and staff to integrate music and STEM across the curriculum
* Travel between Ramage Elementary and Brookview Elementary Schools as assigned (will receive travel reimbursement)
* Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school events
* Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff
* Maintain and organize instructional materials, equipment, and classroom spaces
* Perform other duties as assigned by the building principals

**Qualifications:**

* Valid West Virginia Teaching Certification in Elementary Education and/or Music Education
* Demonstrated knowledge of music education and STEM instructional practices
* Ability to integrate technology into instruction
* Strong classroom management and organizational skills
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to travel between assigned school locations

**Physical Demands:**

* Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout classrooms and school buildings
* Ability to lift and carry instructional materials and equipment as needed
* Ability to supervise students in various settings

**Salary:**
Salary is based on the Boone County Schools Salary Schedule for Professional Personnel and will be determined according to qualifications and experience.
