Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Lead Drummer to elevate our Church of God in Christ musical ensemble to new heights On ( Sunday’s 11:30am - 1:30pm ) As the guiding rhythm force, you will lead the percussion section, inspire fellow musicians, and craft compelling beats that energize audiences. This role demands a skilled performer with a keen sense of timing, a flair for innovation, and the ability to motivate a team to deliver unforgettable performances. Your leadership will be instrumental in shaping the sound and success of our musical projects, ensuring every show resonates with energy and precision.

Responsibilities
• Lead the percussion section during rehearsals and live performances, setting the tempo and maintaining rhythm consistency.
• Collaborate with the musical director and other band members to arrange drum parts that complement the overall sound.
• Mentor and support fellow drummers, fostering skill development and encouraging creative experimentation.
• Develop and refine drum routines, incorporating diverse styles such as jazz, rock, or theater percussion to suit different productions.
• Oversee equipment setup, maintenance, and safety protocols for all percussion instruments and accessories.
• Contribute to sound checks and troubleshoot technical issues related to drums or percussion equipment.
• Inspire audience engagement through energetic performances that enhance the overall theatrical experience.

Requirements
• Proven experience as a lead drummer or principal percussionist in theater productions or musical ensembles.
• Strong proficiency in various drumming styles with the ability to adapt to different genres.
• Excellent sense of timing, rhythm, and musicality complemented by a creative approach to percussion arrangements.
• Knowledge of theater production processes and how live music integrates into stage performances.
• Ability to motivate team members, communicate effectively, and work collaboratively under pressure.
• Familiarity with percussion instruments, maintenance practices, and safety standards.
