Music Ministry Director Job The music ministry director will oversee and direct the music program for worship services. Responsibilities: • Select appropriate music for worship services taking into account skill of worship ensemble and scriptural/sermon themes • Provide music for most Sunday and midweek (seasonal) services • Be in communication with pastor and church secretary • Attend bi-weekly staff meeting • Schedule and oversee worship teams and tech team • Determine key/arrangements of songs and distribute copies to worship teams • Rehearse with worship/tech teams on a weekly basis • Proofread weekly slides • Lead worship team in prayer before each service • Purchase new music as necessary • Maintain music catalog and files (song bank) • Offer worship input to Pastor for special services • Play for weddings and funerals, if available • Be professional in appearance and performance Seniority level • Mid-Senior level Employment type • Full-time
