Lead Musician and Liturgical Support Specialist

The Archdiocese of San Antonio seeks a skilled Musician and Liturgical Support Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for animating the Sunday Liturgy and creating a welcoming musical environment. Key Responsibilities: • Provide musical support to create a prayerful atmosphere during worship services • Assist in securing instrumentalists as needed to enhance the liturgical experience • Maintain professional and liturgical education through ongoing reading, workshops, and classes • Be available to perform at special events, including weddings and funerals • Demonstrate expertise with instruments such as piano, organ, and guitar • Sing and serve as Cantor as needed Requirements: • High School degree or equivalent • Able to sing with accurate pitch and rhythm • Skilled in playing various instruments (Piano/ Organ/ Guitar preferred) • Basic understanding of Music Theory • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with all levels of staff and management While this is intended to be an accurate reflection of the current role, management reserves the right to revise as needed.
