Position Overview Join Voice Up Publishing as our Lead Vocalist Intern, creating original music that bridges diverse musical traditions to address mental health awareness and community connection. You'll compose and perform songs that span multiple genres - from R&B to folk, jazz to Afrobeat, and country music - while focusing on messages of hope, healing, and social change. Key Responsibilities - Compose original songs focused on mental and behavioral health themes - Create music that bridges different cultural and musical traditions - Develop lyrics that address social issues while offering hope - Collaborate with musicians from various backgrounds - Participate in weekly Saturday afternoon collaborative sessions with our nationwide team of student leaders - Document the songwriting and creative process - Research musical traditions and their role in social movements - Build connections between different musical communities Voice Up Publishing Inc. believes in the power of music to create social change and build community.
