Leader of Congregational Singing

Back Creek Church is a growing Presbyterian church in Charlotte, North Carolina seeking a talented Director of Music Ministry to lead our musical worship and music programs. Job Description: The ideal candidate will have a passion for leading congregational singing and building up adults, youth, and children through music ministry. We value a strong understanding of the Scriptures and doctrinal standards of the ARP Church, as well as experience in leading musical worship in a blended style, including psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs in both ancient and contemporary arrangements. Responsibilities: • Public Worship and Special Services • Select music for public worship and other special services with the Minister • Conduct instrumentalists and vocalists in leading the congregation in singing during public worship and other special services • Hold weekly rehearsals to instruct and lead all musicians in preparation for public worship and other special services • Build visual aids to assist congregational participation • Musical Ministry • Recruit, lead, equip, and train congregants with musical gifts to serve the church vocally or instrumentally • Work with the Youth Ministry Committee to build up youth for musical worship • Work with the Children's Ministry Committee to build up children for musical worship • Administrative • Participate in weekly church staff meetings • Represent the music ministry on the Worship Committee ,
