Lecturer - Music and Director of Bands

This position, during the course of university employment will be involved in the receipt of, or accountability for, university funds or other items of value, as well as the unsupervised access with the developmentally disabled, vulnerable adults or children under the age of 16. Required Qualifications • Master’s degree in music education, Band Conducting, or a related field is required • Evidence of successful experience directing advanced band programs and a commitment to undergraduate teaching and liberal arts education • Demonstrated expertise in teaching instrumental methods, conducting, music theory and applied teaching • Experience in directing marching band and athletic pep bands • Evidence of excellence in communication, leadership, and organizational skills • Commitment to fostering a positive, supportive and inclusive learning environment • Demonstrated ability to apply a responsive and flexible approach that is supportive of the needs including universal access of our students, faculty, staff and the public.
