Responsibilities
We seek versatile, collaborative musicians and educators committed to artistic excellence, inclusive teaching, and engagement. Lecturers are hired on an as‑needed basis across applied music, piano, ensembles, jazz studies, music education, music history and literature, music technology, music theory, and general education courses for non‑majors. Duties include instruction, class preparation, grading, Canvas course management, office hours, and other assignments as needed.

Job Details
Part‑time lecturers have conditional appointments based on enrollment and budget, typically starting with one semester and may be renewed. Courses and schedules are assigned by the Director of the School of Music under the direction of the College Dean.

Rank and Salary

Lecturer A: $5,507 – $6,677
Lecturer B: $6,221 – $13,224
Lecturer C: $6,825 – $14,523
Lecturer D: $8,593 – $15,211

Salary ranges are based on a full‑time rate (15 weighted teaching units). Early appointments are prorated to the units taught.

Required Qualifications

Master’s Degree in the discipline or Bachelor’s Degree with more than five years of relevant professional experience

Preferred Qualifications

Doctorate; college‑level teaching experience
