Job Summary The Lesson Coordinator/Sales and Rentals Associate plays a crucial role in managing all aspects of the Music Lesson Centre. Key responsibilities include interviewing and selecting teachers, coordinating schedules, promoting the centre, registering students, and maintaining accurate attendance records. Responsibilities • Interview, select, and provide orientation for suitable teachers • Coordinate teacher schedules and room schedules • Promote and market the Music Lesson Centre • Register students and enforce attendance and payment policies • Maintain accurate student and teacher attendance records • Confirm and administer teacher pays • Train and supervise lesson staff • Resolve student and parent problems and complaints • Develop and coordinate group programs and classes • Schedule and plan bi-annual student recitals • Evaluate teachers for job effectiveness and rate increases • Liaise with store staff to promote and market Long & McQuade products and services • Maintain studios and studio equipment • Regularly review Lesson Centre revenue and growth projections Additional Responsibilities • Help customers through the selling and renting of musical instruments and gear • Define individual customer needs and match with appropriate products and services • Demonstrate recommended products and explain features and benefits • Answer telephone calls in a timely manner • Follow up on product orders with customers and suppliers • Use a common sense approach to troubleshoot and solve customer problems • Maintain knowledge of products, policies, and procedures • Attend weekly staff meetings and training sessions • Merchandise store to create an inviting environment • Participate in store maintenance, warehouse duties, and other related tasks
