Liturgical Musician - Pianist/Organist

**Overview:** St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church is seeking a skilled liturgical musician to accompany one of our choirs, working in partnership with our Music Director, cantors, and psalmists. This part-time position requires a versatile keyboard artist who can play a variety of styles and formats with fluency and accuracy. **Responsibilities:** • Accompany one of our choirs, playing a range of musical styles and formats with fluency and accuracy • Work with the Music Director, cantors, and psalmists to prepare and perform liturgical music • Sight-read printed scores with ease and confidence • Receive and respond to direction from the Director or Leader regarding tempo, dynamics, and other interpretive aspects of music • Demonstrate understanding of the role of music in Catholic liturgy and its cyclical variations • Participate in rehearsals and performances as needed • *Qualifications:** • Bachelor's degree in music (preferred) or equivalent experience • Strong sight-reading and fluency in playing printed scores of various formats • Ability to play a range of musical styles with accuracy and expression • Understanding of Catholic liturgy and its role in worship (desired) • Excellent communication and teamwork skills • *Benefits:** • Part-time position with potential for growth in scope over time • Opportunity to work with a vibrant and diverse community • Competitive compensation and benefits package (TBD)
