**Position**: Long Term Substitute Music Teacher (Leave Replacement)
**Music Focus**: Chorus and General Music
**Full Time:** 1.0
**Location**: Briarcliff Middle and High Schools, Grades 6-12
**Effective Date**: August 31, 2026 - December 22, 2026
**Certification Required:** New York State Music K-12 (Provisional, Professional, Internship, Pending)
**Salary**: BA or MA Step 1-5, BTA CBA Salary Scale

**Ideal Qualifications of a Candidate**:
* Master's Degree in Music
* Strong Choral Music background
* Strong rehearsal and conducting skills
* Knowledge of Grade 6-12 Choral literature and appropriate vocal technique
* Experience teaching a variety of middle and high school Music courses; College-level (dual enrollment) experience preferred
* Excellent pedagogical skills on multiple instruments a plus
* Commitment to creating a student-centered learning experience
* Ability to work productively and collaboratively with the faculty, students, and parents
* A joy of learning and an ability to work with students of all skill and ability levels
