The benefits of music are numerous. It can elevate mood, reduce stress, depression and pain, transporting one to a happier, more tranquil place. To become a hospice volunteer at Sutter Care at Home, the greatest gift is one's time, caring nature and willingness to be present. Volunteering can be as simple as sitting by the bedside, listening with compassion, playing music, reading a book, helping create a scrapbook, or offering support, providing relief for family members and caregivers. Our requirements: Volunteers take part in an enriching online training program, plus ongoing support, working with a Volunteer Program Coordinator as part of the multi-disciplinary hospice team.
